Edwin is a Computer Science Engineer and has a PhD in Information Theory and AI. He holds degrees in Pedagogy and Bio-Medical Engineering. 

He held many pivotal roles in Accenture for about 30 years and was with the firm as a Senior Managing Director till 2023. These roles include being one of the creators of Accenture Song and leading its global Song Sales and Service practice. Prior to that, he led Accenture’s Customer practice.

As one of Accenture’s pioneer leaders in AI, he was asked to create Accenture’s FS Applied Intel practice and later also set up its Digital FS practice  and led Accenture’s global Digital Banking business. 

In addition, he started Accenture’s Digital Decoupling and Exponential IT initiative, helping the largest organisations deal with legacy IT and transition to Digital and AI. He led its UKI Insurance practice and created its Payments Practice. Throughout he was the client account lead for several global Financial Services clients. 

He was an advisor to the Basel Committee and FSB/G20, actively contributing to the creation of Basel III by chairing the Liquidity kick-off sessions, one of its three pillars and contributing key IP to the new regulatory regime. 

Edwin was also the founder and CEO of a venture-capital funded client-server SI company. He served as certified expert-in-court for more than 40 IT lawsuits.  He is currently a strategic advisor to financial services institutions.

He's passionate about skiing, scuba diving and running, solar and other renewables, new Quantum Mechanics Theories of Everything and his wife’s work on the Self-Discovery Channel (YouTube and SmitaJoshi.com).
